Capula is a small town close to Morelia Michoacan, they are worldwide recognized for creating the Mexican Catrinas. Michoacan artists have been keeping the tradition alive for decades and their most current creations include the adorable families and couples seating on a bench.
They are modeled with clay and then handpainted either solid black or with multiple colors. Every piece is one of a kind and uniquely beautiful.
